The choice is between robots and immigrants

A list of observations that point to the inevitability of automation, immigration and talent mobility.
- Ageing population in advanced economies
- High population growth rate in younger countries that are smaller economies
- Policies about immigration and attractiveness as a destination
- Labor force being a bottleneck for economic growth
- AI advancing at a rapid pace. From content generation (Stable diffusion) to self driving trucks to mass manufacture-able humanoid robots (Tesla’s Optimus)
It will be a tough choice for policy makers to balance labor demands of economic growth, immigration, protectionist and upward mobility asks from local population and economics of automation.
